This webinar, featuring Professor Brian Goh, Head & Professor, Department of Hepatopancreatobiliary & Transplant Surgery, Singapore General Hospital & National Cancer Center Singapore, aims to provide a comprehensive review of the VIBe scale and bleeding management strategies in HPB surgeries, with a focus on optimizing patient outcomes and reducing morbidity and mortality rates. The primary objective is to equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to predict and manage postoperative bleeding in HPB surgeries, thereby improving patient care and outcomes.

Through a multidisciplinary approach, the webinar will delve into the current literature on bleeding management strategies in HPB surgeries, including the use of hemostatic agents and techniques. The VIBe scale will be explored in detail, including its application in predicting postoperative bleeding and guiding bleeding management decisions. Best practices for reducing bleeding complications and improving patient outcomes in HPB surgeries will be identified and discussed, with a focus on implementation in clinical practice.

The webinar is designed for healthcare professionals involved in the care of patients undergoing HPB surgeries. Upon completion, participants will be able to apply the VIBe scale to predict postoperative bleeding, identify and manage bleeding complications, and implement evidence-based bleeding management strategies in clinical practice. Ultimately, the goal is to improve patient outcomes and reduce morbidity and mortality rates in HPB surgeries.
