Warren Fellowship Application

The applications for the 2025/26 Fellowship are now closed. The call for applications for 2026/27 will be announced in January 2026.

Application Criteria 

• This stipend is to be used to support the recipient's own salary in conducting clinical or labortory research over 12 months in a host department and country outside the applicant's own department and country. Applicants should not apply if they are already, or have previously been, at the host institution.
• Applicants are required to disclose any additional funding requests which have been applied for or granted for this project. Receiving additional funding will not preclude you from the Kenneth Warren Fellowship.
• The expectation is that the applicant will be able to travel to the host institution within 6 months of being awarded the grant.
• The applicant and mentor must be current members of IHPBA at the time of the application and for the duration of the Fellowship.
• An applicant may apply for IHPBA membership at the time of the application, but the host mentor must have been an active member of IHPBA for a minimum of one year pior to the application. If you would like to apply for IHPBA membership, please visit: https://www.ihpba.org/14_FeesApplications.html
• The 2025/2026 Kenneth Warren Fellowships will be awarded on 3rd July 2025. The awardee must notify the Chairperson of the IHPBA Research Commitee of acceptance or refusal of the award by 14th July 2025.

The application should include:

1. Cover letter
2. The applicant’s curriculum vitae
3. The host mentor’s curriculum vitae 
4. A summary of the research project, including title, background, aims, methodology and timeframe of the research (not to exceed one A4 or letter size page)
   4.1 -Research budget
5. An acknowledgment from the host institution of support for the applicant’s research
6. Letter of reference from the mentor at the host institution
7. Letter of reference from the applicant’s home institution
